June 2007.  My first solo was on May 5, 2007.  Then came some cross-country ground training and flight before I had a chance for my second (supervised) solo.  After that I was signed off for unsupervised flights, and was able to get to the airport for a number of solo flights after that.
 
So here’s a video of some of my solo flying.  The beginning and ending taxi shots of me departing and arriving were from a recent dual lesson in the vintage N738HY, the same airplane as my first solo, and later, my private pilot checkride.
 
The picture on the left is the back of my solo shirt.  I’ll take losing my shirt over a bucket of cold water (or worse) anyday.
